My Lord,

With reference to paragraph 4 of my

confidential despatch of 18th June, 1930, in connection with the second section of the Shing Mun Valley Scheme,

I have the honour to enclose an indent for filtration plant

in connection therewith.

2.

In the event of Your Lordship's approval of

the scheme, it will be desirable that no further delay should follow the consent of the Legislative Council to the vote,

which may be confidently anticipated. The indent is therefore

forwarded in advance with a view to facilitating action by

telegram if and when a final decision to proceed with the

scheme is reached.
